Des petits cadeaux rien que pour vous, en attendant Noël !

Jour 21

Votre enfant fait du graffiti toute l'année sauf à Noël à cause du froid? J'ai la solution: offrez lui LE cadeau original qui lui permettra d'assouvir sa passion en toute légalité et bien au chaud à la maison (et sans vous ruiner). Fabriquez vous même du papier artisanal qui ressemble à un mur en béton (et sur lequel il ou elle pourra exprimer tout son art).

Il vous faut:

- un catalogue publicitaire de jouets de Noël récupéré dans votre boîte aux lettres

- un mixer

- une plaque en plastique.

1) Déchirez quelques feuilles de votre papier en petits morceaux. Les différentes encres de quadrichromie imprimées sur ce papier blanc se mélangeront pour former un beau gris clair à la fin, exactement comme du béton.

2) Trempez ces morceaux de papier dans de l'eau chaude pendant vingt minutes environ.

3) Passez le tout au mixer.

4) Étalez la pâte de papier ainsi obtenue sur votre plaque de plastique, à la main, de façon homogène.

5) Laissez sécher pendant quelques jours.

6) Une fois bien sec (le papier sera plus clair et bien sec au toucher), retirez délicatement la feuille sans la déchirer.

La face visible aura un relief très fort tandis que la face en contact avec le plastique sera très lisse. C'est cette face qui ressemblera à un mur de béton brut poli. Au toucher, elle vous paraîtra étonnamment lisse, comme du plastique, et elle sera légèrement brillante.

L'artiste peut maintenant sortir ses bombes de peinture et laisser libre cours à son imagination, avec pourquoi pas un petit pochoir de crâne de blaireau (très tendance en cette saison). Vous pouvez obtenir des feuilles avec des couleurs différentes en préparant des pâtes de papier à partir de différents papiers (ici le blanc jauni qui ressemble à de l'os est obtenu avec du papier vélin d'Arches). Étalées côte à côte et mises en contact, les pâtes de papiers vont se fixer naturellement en séchant.

Si l'utilisation de peinture aérosol dans la maison ne vous convient pas, vous pouvez toujours offrir le jeu Jet Set Radio sur Dreamcast à votre cher ado délinquant, c'est une valeur sûre (je l'ai fini à 100%).

Day 21

Your kid does graffiti the whole year except during Christmas because of coldness? I have the solution: offer to him THE special gift that will enables him to enjoy his hobby legally and inside the comfort of home (and without ruining yourself). Make yourself some artisanal paper that looks like a concrete wall (and on the one he or she will be able to express all his or her art).

You need:

- a Christmas toys advertising that you can find inside your mailbox

- a blinder

- a plastic plate

1) Split some sheets of your paper into small pieces. The several four-color process inks printed on the white paper will mix up to create a beautiful gray at the end, exactly like concrete.

2) Put the paper into warm water during approximately twenty minutes.

3) Put it all in the blinder and mix it.

4) Spread the wet paper paste on your plastic plate, with your hand, homogeneously.

5) Let it dry during a few days.

6) Once well dry (the paper will be lighter and well dry when you touch it), take off the sheet delicately without tearing it.

The visible side will be very rough while the side in contact with the plastic will be very smooth. This side will looks like a polished concrete wall. When you touch it, it seems amazingly smooth, like plastic, and it will be a little bit glossy.

Now the artist can use his spray cans and free his imagination, why not with a small badger skull stencil (very fashionable in this season). You can get sheets with different colors if you make several paper pastes with different papers (here, the yellow white that looks like bone is made with Arches vellum paper). Displayed side to side and in contact, the wet pastes will fix together when they will dry.

If using spray paint at home doesn't suit to you, you can anyway offer the game "Jet Set Radio" on Dreamcast to your dear troublemaker teenager, it is a must-have (I have done it at 100%).
